Meditation on Feeling Good
Do you ever try for a more positive mindset?
Have you ever tried meditation? I have heard from many friends that meditation can help increase the Feeling Good feelings. Stick with me for another minute…please. 🙂
But I don’t like meditation! 😉
Full disclosure, see above.
However, I don’t like to sit still with my thoughts for very long. I am not a great candidate for meditation because I can get squirmy and uncomfortable and my brain goes a mile a minute….and I understand that meditation is actually supposed to help with ALL of that.
This is for YOU:
Here’s the thing. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I want you to know that YOU are ALLOWED to Feel Good.
If you don’t like meditation or it is too “woo woo” for you, I have an alternative to help bring on that Feeling Good feeling.
Art has always been a way for me to relax and let myself get lost in something that is fun. I know not everybody enjoys being creative or even has the time to create art. Hopefully what I am sharing here now will be an easier way for you to create AND feel good.
2nd full disclosure: I Tried It
My secret: I ACTUALLY tried meditation the other day….ugh, I did. It wasn’t that bad, to be honest. BUT- the important thing that I got out of it, was THIS affirmation:
I AM ALLOWED TO FEEL GOOD
I don’t know where the thought came from, but I DO know that years of habits can sometimes make you feel as if you aren’t worthy of feeling good or you only know struggle. It sounds like a simple, almost silly mantra in it’s simplicity….but I am trusting that it will resonate with one of you. I hope.
I decided to sketch it out and create a coloring page for my friends to try too.
I have found that you can do a meditation, quiet your mind, just by outlining these letters and flower shapes. This printable has been created with a lighter outline so you can put your own mark on it and feel the creativity flow. With each trace of the line, you can keep the mantra of “I am allowed to feel good” in your head even just for as long as the time it takes for you to outline 1 plumeria flower shape.
Some of us don’t have the energy to feel good; I get it. Some of us don’t have the time to focus on ourselves; I get that too. Even if for just one moment you can check in with yourself in your head and visualize a happy, calm place (for me, the beach) and breathe into that moment for 30 seconds; I hope that brings you a feeling of FEEL GOOD. You deserve to feel good, and you deserve to be happy.
Much love and ALOHA,
